Gabriel Fernandes

Gabriel is a physiotherapist from Brazil, with over 10 years experience in Msk & Sports physiotherapy, having worked with elite athletes from a range of sports throughout his career as a physiotherapist, from beach volleyball, running and triathlon, rowing, rugby union, soccer to all sorts of weekend warriors athletes.

 

Gabriel is a tilted Sports physiotherapist in Brazil from Brazil's National Physiotherapy Sports Society (SONAFE). Gabriel is also a Member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) Sports and Msk national group (APAM).

 

Between 2011-2016, Gabriel worked as physio for the Italian Women's Beach Volleyball team in preparation for the London 2012 Olympic Games, through several tournaments including The Rio 2016 Grand Slam until the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

 

Just after the Rio Olympic Games, Gabriel moved to Australia to work as a physiotherapist. A highlight of his time here as a sports physio was to have worked at GC2018 Commonwealth Games, at the Beach Volleyball arena in Coolangatta.
